Girl-topia at the Sharing Shelf

If you participated in Pace Makes a Difference Day at the Sharing Shelf and enjoyed it, then you would love this upcoming event. Volunteers are needed the weekend of April 26 through 28th to help with the Girl-Topia event. It’s a special shopping event where we will be creating  a boutique filled with donations of teen girl clothing in Mt. Vernon at the VFW building at 11 Third Avenue. Then, girls from needy families are specially invited to attend and pick out a week’s worth of free items. Each girl will get a makeover and receive a goody bag.

We need help setting up and breaking down the event. Here are the times we could use  the MOST help:

  • Friday, April 26th from 4 to 8pm (to hang clothing on racks) and unload our truck
  • Sunday, April 28th from 2-6pm to help break down the event and move things back to Port Chester (we have a truck)

We could also use help:

  • Saturday morning from 9am – Noon to help hang clothing
  • Sunday from 9am throughout the day to help with the event.
