Volunteer at the Beczak Environmental Center!

On Friday, October 26th from 8:30am-1:30pm join us as we volunteer at Beczak Environmental Center in Yonkers.

What is Beczak? As their website says, “Since 1989, Beczak Environmental Education Center has helped children and adults explore and appreciate the natural wonders of the Hudson River, one of our nation’s American Heritage Rivers. From measuring tides to petting eels, our interactive programs meet New York State Department of Education Learning Standards. Our interdisciplinary approach to learning supports science, math, language arts, social studies and fine arts teaching.”

Don’t you want to make a difference in the environment and also help others? Do something fulfilling with your Friday, spend the morning working with Beczak Environmental Center! We will be helping clean up the park and working with students from local schools on a seining class. We will help take the children into the river with a net to catch fish, crabs, and shrimp. You WILL get dirty, please wear clothes you do not mind getting ruined.  Dress warmly. Co-sponsored by NATURE club. Email ccarplv@pace.edu to register or for more information.
