Get involved with Election 2020: Opportunities from Community Partners

By Chloe Hwang, CCAR Student Projects Coordinator

We know a lot of Pace students are excited about Election 2020 and want to get more involved!  Check out the below volunteer and job opportunities from our non-partisan community partners! And as always, contact CCAR’s Vote Everywhere Ambassadors at vote@pace.edu with any election related questions!

Power to the Polls

https://www.powerthepolls.org/

America is facing a record shortage of poll workers this year due to the coronavirus. Our democracy depends on ordinary people who make sure elections run smoothly and everyone’s vote is counted. You can make sure we have a safe, fair, efficient election for all. You will be paid with a check for a day’s worth of work. In some case, poll working may be voluntary and not paid.

Vote Forward

https://votefwd.org/

Home of The Big Send campaign. Vote Forward is calling on your help to send 10 million handwritten letters to fellow citizens. Join the campaign to write heartfelt letters to Americans encouraging voter turnout in the November elections. It takes two minutes and one stamp, and meaningfully increases the odds that the recipient will vote. A concrete action you can take, no matter where you live, to get unlikely-to-vote fellow citizens to the polls.

When We All Vote

When We All Vote is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that is on a mission to increase participation in every election and close the race and age voting gap by changing the culture around voting, harnessing grassroots energy, and through strategic partnerships to reach every American.  When We All Vote organized 2,500 local voter registration events across the country, engaged 200 million Americans online about the significance of voting, and texted nearly four million voters the resources to register and get out to vote.
