Major: Peace & Justice Studies
Partner Organization: New Roots Community Farm

Volunteering with New Roots has been an incredible experience thus far! I’m so happy I got the opportunity to partner with them this semester after working with them only once in the Spring. I’ve enjoyed learning so many basic agricultural skills that I believe are imperative for our society. It’s wonderful to see so many volunteers each week prepping the garden for winter and assisting the farm coordinator on any tasks – literally, any task.

I’m so grateful to be a member of SLS for almost a year now — YAY! SLS allows me to continually grow my service-learning and open doors to various partnerships that tackle a vast of issues.

Unfortunately, I will not be a member of SLS during the Spring semester since I will be studying abroad in Thailand. I’m SO excited yet sad to leave so much behind. I would love to hop back on board once I return to Pace University! SLS is something so impactful that I will always cherish.
