Join us for a discussion, volunteer with us, follow our educational campaigns on social media, and stop by our Take Action table on Earth Day to get involved!

Food Justice 101

What is food justice, and what does it mean at Pace and in New York City? Join a discussion on how you can get involved in the movement to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to fresh, nutritious, affordable, and culturally-appropriate food grown with care for the well-being of land, workers, and animals. Refreshments will be provided.

Earth Month Movie Night

Thursday, April 9th | 6:00PM-8:00PM | Lecture Hall West
All are invited to a free screening of “Winds of Change,” an episode of Years of Living Dangerously focusing on different sources of energy and featuring America Ferrera and Mark Bittman. Join us for this free movie night and some free-flowing discussion. Refreshments will be provided.

Hands on New York Day

The biggest event of CCARNY’s Spring semester is back! Hands on New York Day, part of the city-wide New York Cares Day Spring, is full of exciting volunteer projects directed towards improving our community. Volunteers will plant, mulch, compost, paint, and more at a local community garden to help beautify our communal backyard. Lunch & transportation provided. The Pace University Vegetable Garden wants you to come out and support its expansion! According to NYC Parks there are already over 300 school gardens in NYC. Be part of a dedicated group of students who are committed to the growing movement of sustainable agriculture. The day’s events include garden set up and mural painting. Come out to plant, come out to paint, or come out to show your support. Either way, help turnip the beet at Pace University! This event is sponsored by the Pace University Vegetable Garden.
