Register to Vote Pace U!
As a new voter, the deadline in New York State to register to vote, and be eligible to vote in the Presidential election is this coming Friday, October 12th.
You don’t have to vote in November, but you only have the choice if you’re registered!
If you have a residence in NY State (eg Dorm, apartment, etc) you are eligible to register and vote in New York State . You can switch your change your registration at any time, but what is on file with the Board of Elections as of October 12th is what will be considered on Election Day, November 6th, 2012.
To Register to Vote You Can:
- Stop by our VOTER BLITZ tables at the lobby kiosk, 1st floor 1 Pace Plaza this coming Tues, Wed, or Thurs. We can answer your questions, let you register, and submit your form, no postage needed.
- Visit the New York State Board of Elections (http://www.elections.ny.gov/VotingRegister.html) download the form, fill it out and mail it in (or drop it off to us at our table or in Y31)
- If you wish to register in the area in which you grew up, you can download your state’s voter registration form at http://registertovote.org/index.html. We’ll still mail it in for you. Check your state’s Board of Elections website for deadlines.
