Pace student intern seeking volunteers for her service event!
Irene Jacobs, a Pace student interning with the Department of Corrections, is looking for a few good volunteers to help her with an excellent service event she is helping to plan. This event will be assisting with mock interviews as a part of a series of job readiness training workshops. See below or Here for more specifics.

We are spearheading a new initiative to connect people in our custody to employment opportunities upon their release to our communities. To assist us with this effort we are looking for volunteers who would like to assist with providing job readiness training, including resume & cover letter writing and mock interviewing.
Because it is very hard to find a job without these documents and skills, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives!!
Our first event is a mock interview night on August 8th at the George Motchan Detention Center on Rikers Island from 6PM till 9PM. Anyone interested in volunteering for this event must also attend a training session on August 1st at the Bulova Corporate Center from 7PM till 9PM.
