On Saturday April 21th, a group of students from pace took part in New York Cares day Spring 2012.This year we worked  at Hattie Carthan community garden in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Volunteers built benches, painted/created signs for the garden,  and performed other general gardening tasks.

The Center for Community Action and Research staff would like to thank all the volunteers for their participation in this spring’s New York Cares day. Because of your time and contribution we were able to prepare a community garden for the summer.

The photos that were taken can be viewed on our FACEBOOK PAGE. Also, don’t forget to click the LIKE button on our page!

What a great way to end the spring semester. Thanks again to all the volunteers, together they dedicated 198 service hours toward Hattie Carthan Community Garden!
